Senior Applied Research Engineer
Diego Huang is a Senior Applied Research Engineer on our Impact Team. He works with our applied research scientists and engineers to design and build software prototypes and products in our thesis areas. In addition, he develops infrastructure to improve the efficiency of machine learning research and experimentation.
Prior to joining Georgian, Diego was a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, working first on the company’s supply chain optimization technologies, and later on Alexa Communications. In his last role at Amazon, he designed and implemented back-end services to enable voice and video calling on Amazon Echo devices and the Alexa mobile app. Previous to that, he was a Software Test Engineer at IBM, where he developed automated testing of the company's XL C/C++ compiler against new language standards and new processor architectures.
Diego holds an M. A. Sc. in Computer Engineering from University of Toronto
